To create a new dashboard on ACDI, you need the following components:
Dataset: The source of your data, which can be OpenText eDirectory (OpenText Identity Manager) or OpenText Access Manager. It is stored and analyzed by using OpenSearch.
Visualizations: OpenSearch panels that help you translate datasets into an easy-to-process visual representation (dashboard).
While using ACDI, you can access datasets containing existing visualizations from OpenText Identity Manager and OpenText Access Manager. You can use these visualizations or create new ones for your dashboard.
The Dashboard offers various types of visualization to help you analyze your data. Before creating a new visualization in ACDI, it is recommended to refer to the OpenSearch documentation to know more about the different types available.
You can add custom visualization in ACDI in one of the following ways:
When you create a visualization, ACDI provides you the option of adding it to a new dashboard. If you do not wish to add the visualization to the dashboard, ACDI saves it in the visualization library. You can access this library by selecting the Add Panels option while editing a dashboard.
On the ACDI Home page, click Manage > Create Dashboard.
By default, ACDI opens New Dashboard in edit mode. However, if you see the following message “This dashboard is empty. Let’s fill it up!,” then you need to click Edit in the menu bar.
Click Create new.
Select a visualization type from the New Visualization window, then select a source.
For example, select Area > Audit Events (Saved Objects).
NOTE:You can retrieve data from OpenSearch using either Saved Objects or Index Patterns. All event data is stored in indices. The index patterns that start with audit-default belong to OpenText eDirectory. Saved Objects, on the other hand, are files that store data like dashboards, visualizations, and maps, for later use. For more information, see OpenSearch Documentation.
Click Save in the toolbar.
In the Save visualization window, specify a title and description for the visualization. For example, specify Audit Events custom as the title of the area chart panel.
(Optional) To add this visualization to the new dashboard, make sure Add to Dashboard after saving is enabled.
Click Save and return.
The Audit Events custom is now available in the Add panels window.
(Optional) Click Save if you selected to add the new visualization to the dashboard in Step 6.
You can modify only cloned and custom dashboards that have the Edit option. You cannot modify OpenText Identity Manager's default dashboards.
On the ACDI Home page, click Dashboard.
Click Edit on the desired dashboard (cloned or custom).
For example, click Edit on a cloned Audit Dashboard.
Under Basic, click Visual Edit.
On the Editing Audit Dashboard Clone (unsaved) tab, click the Settings
icon and select Edit visualization on the panel that you want to modify.
For example, use the Audit - Events area panel.
To view User changes in the panel:
Click Add filter.
Specify the following details:

The search is case-sensitive. You can either use Object Class.keyword or search by an Object Class attribute.
Click Save.
The Area panel now displays User changes only.
To save this visualization, click Save as in the toolbar.
In the Save visualization window, make sure Save as new visualization is enabled.
Specify a title and description for the visualization. For example, the title for the area chart panel is Audit Events User Changes.
(Optional) If you don’t want to add this visualization to default dashboard, disable Add to Dashboard after saving.
Click Save and return.
The Audit Events User Changes is now available in the Add panels window.
To create a dashboard and add an existing visualization:
On the ACDI Home page, click Manage > Create Dashboard.
By default, ACDI opens New Dashboard in edit mode. However, if you see the following message “This dashboard is empty. Let’s fill it up!,” then you need to click Edit in the tool bar.
Click the calendar icon and set the time filter to Last 30 days.
Click Add an existing or Add.
From the Add panels window, select the required panel and then click X to close the panel.
For example, to add the panel you created in Creating a Dashboard with New Visualization to the new dashboard canvas, select Audit Events custom.
This creates a dashboard with a single panel. You can continue to add more visualizations to this dashboard.
(Optional) You can change the layout of panels on a dashboard canvas. Click Options and enable the following options:
Use margins between panels: Enabled by default. Toggle to disable the margin of space between each panel.
Show panel titles: Enabled by default. Toggle to disable or hide the titles in the panel headers.
Click Save.
(Optional) To discard the changes you made to the dashboard, click Cancel > Discard changes. After confirming, you cannot undo this operation.
