15.9 Self Service Password Reset Throws 404 Error When Upgrading WAR File to 4.7 Version

When you attempt to deploy the Self Service Password Reset 4.7 WAR file on the Java version below 11.x:

  • The following error is displayed:

  • Self Service Password Reset 4.7 does not work as expected.

  • Self Service Password Reset logs display the below error:

    Log 1:: catalina.out31-Jul-2023 07:50:37.577 SEVERE [main] org.apache.catalina.core.StandardContext.startInternal One or more listeners failed to start. Full details will be found in the appropriate container log file31-Jul-2023 07:50:37.581 SEVERE [main] org.apache.catalina.core.StandardContext.startInternal Context [/sspr] startup failed due to previous errors

    Log 2:: localhost.yyyy-mm-dd.log java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: password/pwm/http/HttpEventManager has been compiled by a more recent version of the Java Runtime

Perform the following steps to resolve this issue:
