6.4 Downloading Packages

By default, the Packages menu displays only the packages included with the original version of Package Deployment Tool. Any package that is updated later can be downloaded using the Browse and Download option. Deleted package versions can be downloaded again.

The Browse and Download option allows you to browse through the latest package updates available online at http://nu.novell.com/designer/packages/idm/updatesite2_0_0/plugins and download the required version into PDT. All packages, including downloaded packages are saved in the <Designer installed location>/packages/eclipse/plugin folder.

To download a package:

  1. In the Packages menu, click .

  2. In Download Packages window, select the check box next to the package or a specific version of the package you want to download.

    NOTE:

    • If all of the available packages are already downloaded, the list is empty.

    • When you select a package, all versions of the package will get downloaded.

  3. Click Download.

  4. Click Close.

    The downloaded packages are listed in the list of available packages.
