11.0 Configuring Remote Loader in FIPS mode

To configure FIPS mode on Remote Loader, perform the following steps:

1. Place the following jar files in the /opt/novell/dirxml/remoteloader/lib/ directory:

   • bc-fips-1.0.2.4.jar

   • bcpkix-fips-1.0.7.jar

   • bctls-fips-1.0.18.jar

2. Navigate to the /opt/novell/dirxml/doc/ directory.

3. Add the is_fips_enabled=true flag to the configuration file when configuring an RL instance. For example, you can add the flag to the sample configuration file, config8000.txt.

4. Save the file and start the remote loader instance using rdxml command.
