While generating reports in OpenText Identity Manger, the attempt to run reports fail and it throws the following error: “Cannot get a connection, pool error Timeout waiting for idle object, borrowMaxWaitDuration=PT30S.”
You need to configure the settings in MS SQL and server.xml to generate the reports.
Perform the following steps on your database:
Log in to the server where Identity Reporting is installed.
Open a database administrator tool such as SQL Server Management Studio.
Right click on the server and select Connections.
Increase the value of Remote query timeout. For instance, 150000.
Perform the following steps to edit the server.xml file.
Navigate to /opt/netiq/idm/apps/tomcat/conf on Linux or C:\Netiq\idm\apps\tomcat\conf on windows, where the Reporting is installed.
Increase the value of maxWaitMillis and validationInterval, where the database name is <reporting database name>. For instance, maxWaitMillis=3000000 and validationInterval=12000000.
Restart tomcat services.
