While working on custom or cloned dashboards, you can edit the dashboard in the following levels based on your requirements:
Basic: To customize basic dashboard attributes and its appearance, such as Dashboard ID, Display Name, and Description. You can also modify the tile color using the color picker and add an icon. The icon is an image with a resolution of 117 by 117 pixels, encoded in base64 format. You can define tags to help you search and group dashboards easily.
Advanced: <TBD, need more context> To add JSON script for changing the panel dimensions, Kibana Saved Object Metadata, Version, References, and time restore.
Visual Edit: To edit visualizations using OpenSearch Dashboards. ACDI provides you access to various OpenSearch Dashboard features for editing, including a time filter, query languages for creating complex queries to filter data, dev tools, and more.
NOTE:You cannot edit a default dashboard. When you select a default dashboard template in Manage > Dashboard Editor, ACDI creates a clone and allows you to make basic edits to it. After saving the clone, advanced and visual editing options will be available for further customization.
