Driver packages
-
Driver files
Upgrading the driver packages
Import the following packages into Designer from the Packages folder.
| Name | Package name | Version | Build date | Build number |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| REST JSON | NETQRESTJSON | 1.1.1 | 20260917 | 120426 |
Upgrading the driver files
-
Take a back-up of the current driver configuration.
-
If the driver runs locally, stop the driver instance and the Identity Vault.
-
If the driver runs with a Remote Loader instance, stop the driver and the Remote Loader instance.
-
Download and unzip the contents of the
IDM_REST_1.3.3_P1.zipfile to a temporary location on your computer. -
To update the driver files as a root user:
-
On the server where you want apply the driver patch, log in as root.
-
Navigate to the extracted
<IDM_REST_1.3.3_P1.zip>directory and perform any one of the following actions for your platform:-
Linux: Install the new
netiq-DXMLRESTDrv.rpmin your driver installation directory by running the following command in a terminal window:rpm -Uvh (patch-path)/linux/netiq-DXMLRESTDrv.rpm -
Windows: Copy the
RESTCommon.jar,RESTDriverShim.jar,RESTUtil.jarfiles to your driver installation folder. For example, \NetIQ\IdentityManager\NDS (local installation) or \NetIQ\IDM\RemoteLoader\64bit\lib (remote installation). -
Restart OpenText eDirectory or Remote Loader instance.
-
-
-
To update the driver files as a non-root user:
-
Create the
_db.*file during a non-root installation of the Identity Manager engine.
Absence of this file may indicate that OpenText Identity Manager is not properly installed. Reinstall OpenText Identity Manager to correctly place the file in the directory. This will set the environmental variables to the directory where Identity Vault is installed as a non-root user.
For example, to install the REST driver RPM, use this command:rpm --dbpath $ROOTDIR/rpm -Uvh --relocate=/usr=$ROOTDIR/opt/novell/eDirectory --relocate=/etc=$ROOTDIR/etc --relocate=/opt/novell/eDirectory=$ROOTDIR/opt/novell/eDirectory --relocate=/opt/novell/dirxml=$ROOTDIR/opt/novell/dirxml --relocate=/var=$ROOTDIR/var --badreloc --nodeps --replacefiles /home/user/netiq-DXMLRESTDrv.rpm-
Verify that
<non-root edirectory="" location="">/rpmdirectory exists and contains the_db.*file. -
To set the root directory to the location of non-root Identity Vault, enter the following command in the command prompt:
ROOTDIR=<non-root eDirectory location> -
To install the driver files, enter the following command:
rpm --dbpath $ROOTDIR/rpm -Uvh --relocate=/usr=$ROOTDIR/opt/novell/eDirectory --relocate=/etc=$ROOTDIR/etc --relocate=/opt/novell/eDirectory=$ROOTDIR/opt/novell/eDirectory --relocate=/opt/novell/dirxml=$ROOTDIR/opt/novell/dirxml --relocate=/var=$ROOTDIR/var --badreloc --nodeps --replacefiles /home/user/novell-DXMLsaphrjco.rpmIn this command,
/opt/novell/eDirectoryis the location where non-root eDirectory is installed and/home/user/is the home directory of the non-root user.
