16.7 Upgrading Analyzer

To upgrade Analyzer, we provide patch files in .zip format. Before upgrading Analyzer, ensure that the computer meets the prerequisites and system requirements. For more information, see the Release Notes accompanying the update.

IMPORTANT:The Analyzer tool is not included in the OpenText Identity Manager 24.4 (v4.10) ISO. If Analyzer is already installed, ensure that you update it to version 4.8.5 and use it with OpenText Identity Manager 24.4 (v4.10).

  1. Download the patch file, such as Identity_Manager_4.8.5_Analyzer_Windows.zips, from the Software and License page.

  2. Extract the .zip file to the directory that contains the Analyzer installation files, such as the plug-ins, uninstallation script, and other Analyzer files.

  3. Restart Analyzer.

  4. To verify that you successfully applied the new patch, complete the following steps:

    1. Launch Analyzer.

    2. Click Help > About Analyzer.

    3. Check whether the program displays the new version, such as 4.6 Update 1 and Build ID 20121128.
