2.1 Implementation Checklist

Use the following checklist to plan, install, and configure OpenText Identity Manager.

	Checklist Items
	Review the product architecture information to learn about OpenText Identity Manager components. For more information, see How OpenText Identity Manager Works in OpenText™ Identity Manager CE 24.4 (v4.10) Overview and Planning Guide.
	Review the OpenText Identity Manager licensing information to determine whether you need to use the evaluation license or the enterprise license of OpenText Identity Manager. For more information, see Understanding Licensing and Activation in OpenText™ Identity Manager CE 24.4 (v4.10) Overview and Planning Guide.
	Determine the type of deployment suitable for your environment based on the features you want to implement. For more information, see OpenText Identity Manager Deployment Configurations in OpenText™ Identity Manager CE 24.4 (v4.10) Overview and Planning Guide.
	Determine whether you can run the installation programs in your preferred language. For more information, see Understanding OpenText Identity Manager Localization in OpenText™ Identity Manager CE 24.4 (v4.10) Overview and Planning Guide.

	Install OpenText Identity Manager. For more information, see Section 4.0, Installing OpenText Identity Manager.
	Configure the installed components. For more information, see Section 5.0, Configuring the OpenText Identity Manager Components.
	Perform additional configuration steps for different components to be fully functional. For more information, see Section 6.0, Final Steps for Completing the Installation.
