Data Connector Wizard helps to create a new connection to a LDAP server.
Perform the following steps to create a new connection:
On the homepage, go to Administration > Data Connection Wizard.
Make sure to select the connection type at the top.
Give a name for it in the Connection Name and Connection ID to be used in the index name.
Under LDAP Server Settings, provide URL, username, and password.
Click Test, If the button turns green, it indicates that all settings have been checked and a connection can be created.
Click Create New Data Connector.
Once the connector is created, click Please Reload App.
After creating new connection the snapshot service of the connection will be available under Data Collection in the left pane. In this snapshot service you can see the following settings:
LDAP Server URL
LDAP Service account name
LDAP Service account password
Keystore file name
Path to keystore
Perform the following steps to check the snapshot service:
Click control service
icon and click Start to start service.
(Optional) You may get the following error: Connection or outbound has closed
This happens because IDM can send you a certificate not with FQDN but with an IP address instead. In this case change the LDAP Server URL from FQDN to IP.
Now save and start the service again.
In the log you will receive a root object, which means the service is started successfully.
Now go to Time Machine, on the top Select index source select your connection.
You will get information about the snapshot:
Start Time
Finish Time
Duration
Total Objects
Average Object Size
Average number of objects processed per second
Average index size
Click Time Machine to get a list of snapshots for each connection and information about each snapshot.
