To view the history of an object or attribute, perform the following steps:
Go to the ACDI home page and select Time Machine to review snapshots of the LDAP server over a specified period, for example, the last 7 days. For more information, seeUsing Time Machine to Review Snapshots.
Click History Browser.
The timeline created by the Time Machine appears horizontally at the top of the preview pane on the History Browser page.
In the Search object field, type the name of the object whose history you want to view.
For example, to view the history of user CN=ssmith, type ssmith.
Select the user object (cn=ssmith,ou=user,o=system) from the search result. The attributes and values for this user are displayed in the right preview pane.
NOTE:By default, the LDAP connection to OpenText eDirectory is selected in the timeline. As a result, ACDI displays the current values for the selected object collected via the LDAP connection.
(Optional) To view the history of an attribute, type the name of the attribute in the Search by attribute or value field.
To track changes in an object or its attributes over time, select the audit events in the timeline and compare the results. For example, if ssmith is not able to log in to the application, you can check whether his login has been disabled by verifying the relevant audit events for changes in his logindisabled attribute over time.
Similarly, you can view and track changes between two snapshots.
NOTE:You can select only one event or snapshot at a time.
