Certificate Server is automatically installed when you install OpenText eDirectory. Certificate Server provides public key cryptography services that are natively integrated into OpenText eDirectory and that allow you to mint, issue, and manage both user and server certificates. These services allow you to protect confidential data transmissions over public communications channels such as the Internet.
NOTE:If you want to use the Certificate Management module with OpenText Identity Console, you must upgrade your OpenText eDirectory server to 9.2.4 HF2.
