3.2 Bluetooth eSec setting

You can configure the Bluetooth device's timeout while attempting to connect with it to verify its presence by performing the following steps:

NOTE:This setting is only used in Device Service for Mac OS.

  1. Open /Library/Application\Support/NetIQ/DeviceService.app/Contents/Resources/config.properties.

  2. Set the bluetooth.pairingTimeout parameter in milliseconds to wait for a connection (Default value is 5 seconds).

    For example, if you want to set the timeout value to 10 seconds, set bluetooth.pairingTimeout to 10000.

    NOTE:The value of this parameter is restricted to a minimum of 1 second and maximum of 10 seconds.

  3. Save the changes.

  4. Restart the Device Service using the below commands:

    sudo launchctl unload /Library/LaunchDaemons/com.netiq.deviceservice.plist

    sudo launchctl load /Library/LaunchDaemons/com.netiq.deviceservice.plist
